Our story

Named for the moon’s path

The moon never keeps one shape. It waxes and wanes along its path, and its light looks a little different every night. Pearls are the same. Turn one in your hand and it shows a different light from every angle, and no two in the world are alike. That is where the name FLOW MOON comes from.

I grew up surrounded by stones and pearls. My mother is a geologist, and she has always loved jewellery made from natural materials. She hoped I would become a jewellery designer. I studied finance instead.

Where it began

Years later, a chance visit to a pearl source changed my mind. I watched freshwater pearls being harvested and sorted, and they were more beautiful than I had imagined. That is where FLOW MOON began.

I don’t believe pearls should be a luxury. Good freshwater pearls last for years and are made to be worn, on a workday as much as a weekend. They don’t need a luxury price to show your taste.

Two of us, in Australia

FLOW MOON is two of us, in Australia. Some designs we draw ourselves and develop with the workshop that makes them. Others we choose carefully from our suppliers for their simple, classic lines. We source quality freshwater pearls from around the world.

Every pair passes through our hands. We pick the pearls, check each pair, pack it in its gift box and write the card by hand.
